What is Liposuction and what to consider before the treatment

by Aiden Zamora on March 29, 2008

Liposuction is a fat removal procedure that aims to eradicate excessive stubborn fat from these hard to shift areas on women and men. usually from the thighs, stomach and bottom, and is frequently used when other methods fail. The only problem with this procedure is that sometimes the fat returns some time later; but not necessarily in the region it was originally taken from.

Tumescent and Ultrasonic are the two most commonly used methods although there are other lesser known techniques. The most modern of these techniques is Tumescent and has become one of the most commonly practiced aesthetic cosmetic procedures in America.

Fat is removed by a smaller tube and this also helps to reduce the amount of bruising that occurs with the traditional method. Virtually every patient to date has found the tumescent liposuction technique to be less painful, provides better results with more rapid healing and recovery.

Some of the most awkward areas to remove fat from are the thighs, hips, back and upper stomach region but Ultrasonic liposuction makes this possible.

Every medical procedure has some element of risk and this is no different because when using the traditional treatment process the plastic surgeon is unable to see exactly where the probe is inside the body. It is always in the patient’s interest to find out everything they can about the process before they commit to any cosmetic procedure.

Liposuction is normally straightforward procedure but can have adverse side effects and on occasion death although the odds against this happening are something in the region of five thousand to one. Anyone considering this treatment will need to have a medical examination first to confirm they are in good physical health for the procedure to take place. Patients are told to keep wounds clean after the procedure and given antibiotics to avoid possible infection at this vulnerable time. Fortunately, fat removal techniques have improved a great deal in recent years.

Lipo Dissolve is a series of micro-injections developed to dissolve fat deposits of the face and body providing an effect similar to regular liposuction. One other benefit of Lipo Dissolve is that it does not require any form of anesthesia and patients feel almost no pain whatsoever.

However in the long term I recommend that you think more about your diet rather than short term fixes to your weight problem.

Any ideas?
