Great video Colleen. Calorie counting has always worked for me, and I try to incorporate fruits & veggies & nuts as much as possible.

Sounds like you’re a classic success on your current diet, Colleen!

Are you in a position to be able to grow even a small garden? Even in an apartment, it’s possible to grow a few plants; if you have a yard, even more. Food prices aren’t gonna come down any time soon, and a garden can be not only a source of cheap veggies, but also great satisfaction and some exercise, depending on how intensive your efforts.

I’ll be planting my first serious “truck” garden soon! =^[.]^=

Ohhhh I can relate to the fad diets and the yo-yo after effects. If we only knew then what we know now. You are doing fantastically! Super great approach to losing weight the healthy way!

Fad diets are just …
Fad diets are just plain weird.
I eat all natural and close to nature as possible.
Nothing processed at all. That means no cereals, breads, pastas, milk, sugars, and others.
It works and has made me healthy in return.
The main thing is find what works for you and stick with it and that sounds like exactly what you did.
Great job!!

The best for me is the lo-carb diet. I’m still on it (going on my 2nd year)and have lost over 125 lbs. to date.

I was a bit of fad dieter myself. If I didn’t loss five pounds the first week, I wasn’t satisfied.

There’s a diet sort of like that some people are doing here on YT..drinking shakes/cleansing..I watched the videos and said WTH..yercrazy!! LOL can’t remember the name of it..but not good. You have to eat real food. YAY for the natural way, that’s exactly the way I do it. I eat healthy and whole food..I have no cravings for crap anymore..GONE. Food is fuel and should nourish you.. crap in/crap out.. LOL :O)

Great vid Colleen. Don’t feel too bad, we’ve all had our fair share of crazy, ridiculous diets. You’re doing really great now. Have you incorporated strength training in your workouts?
