You won´t burn cals …
You won´t burn cals when you are weightlifting not many but the bigger muscles you have the more calories you burn while doing nothing. I mean the more you weight without the fat and the more lean bodymass you have the bigger BMR.

Very good advice. If someone say like- I work out and I eat just 800 calories. I would say well eat 800 more calories.
The carbs depends on how active you are but don´t do the nocarb diet. If you do high intensive cardio like running you can eat a carb meal 1 – 2 hours before and if you are just walking for cardio do it before breakfast, after weightlifting of a few hours after a lowcarb meal.
